Standard First Aid - CPR - AED trainning

April 09th, 2005. Today Stantec offered us a full-day trainning on STANDARD FIRST AID, CPR AND AED. Jennifer organized the event. Thanks jen!
I got a ride with Lilian in the morning. Geoff, Xiule, Elvira, Lilian, Carlos, Andy and another lady from PC1108 were there as well. At first I thought: "Boy, a full-day of trainning on Saturday will suck". But the day went on very fast and the trainning was a great knowledge gain.
The National Safety Council is a non-profit organization devoted to protect life and promote health. In 1990 they established First Aid and CPR courses to promote effective emergency response.
First Aid is basically the immediate hel given to a victim of injury or sudden illness by a bystander until appropiate medical help arrives. CPR or Cardio Pulmonar Ressucitation helps victims without signs of circulation. It is giving Basic Life Support if the victim is not breathing or it heart had stopped.
